MANITOU Parts Ways With FIREBOX RECORDS
December 29, 2006Finland's MANITOU, who feature in their ranks members of OMNIUM GATHERUM, MALPRACTICE and KAIHORO, have parted ways with Firebox Records. A new label home for the group has not yet been announced.
MANITOU released its second full-length album, "Deadlock", in March 2006 through Firebox. The material on the CD was previously described as a mixture of IRON MAIDEN, ANNIHILATOR, QUEENSRŸCHE, OZZY OSBOURNE, DIO, EVERGREY and JUDAS PRIEST.
MANITOU's video for the track "Fools in Control" has been posted online at their official web site (.MPG file, 29 MB). The "Fools in Control" single, which entered the Finnish single chart in February 2006 at position No. 2, also features a cover of MICHAEL JACKSON's "Beat It".
MANITOU's debut album, "The Mad Moon Rising", came out in 2004 on the now-defunct Rage Of Achilles Records.
